Back in the 80s, when there was nothing, and I mean nothing on. I mean I had played out out all of my NES, games and rewatched my VHS tapes a millions times, then maybe, maybe if it was really late at night I would watch American Gladiators.
You may have not known this a couple of guys held the original American Gladiators competition back in the late 80s at Erie Tech High School in Erie, Pennsylvania. They then sold the concept to The Samuel Goldwyn Company, which ran until 19-hundred-and-96.
American Gladiators ran from 1989 to 1996. And there was a European version back in the 90s. Then, in 2008, a new version hosted by Hulk Hogan lasted for two years.
There was an NES version of the game that came out in 1991. The game was criticized for not containing enough of the competitions from the TV show.
Later, a more faithful Super Nintendo version would be released, along with a game for the Sega Mega Drive, Genesis and Amiga.
